QCAACC To Host Unveiling Celebration, Including Performance By Entertainer Dougie E. Fresh

The QCAACC annnounced recently that it will host an Unveiling Celebration honoring the Chamber's legacy and embracing the future for the 31-year-old organization. The celebration will be held Friday, August 9 beginning at 6 p.m. at QCAACC member Society 57, 100 S. River Street in downtown Aurora, IL.


"We feels it's important to honor the legacy the the chamber has established," QCAACC Board Chairman Michael Pegues said. "We feel the future of the QCAACC depends on our generation to stand tall and step forward for the betterment of the Quad County area and African American businesses in particular."


At the Celebration the QCAACC Board of Directors will ceremoniously hand the board Chairman gavel to Michael Pegues, who took the reins in March of 2024.


To enhance the Celebration event, American rapper and recording producer Doug E. Fresh will perform. The Barbados-born entertainer is also known as the "Human Beat Box." He is known as the pioneer of 20th-century beatboxing which involves accurately imitating drum machines and various special effects using only him mouth, lips, gums, throat, tongue and a microphone.
